Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brady Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vin Seppala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brady Baird!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vin Seppala!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seppala avoids the head kick by Baird.

Seppala closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Baird can't get the takedown.

Seppala pulls guard successfully.
Seppala lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Baird!
Seppala throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Baird is trying desperately to improve position.

Seppala is working for a guillotine from mount but Baird frees his head quite easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Seppala trying to control but Baird is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Baird manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Baird, under a barage of strikes from Seppala.

Baird throws his legs up looking for a submission but Seppala uses it to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baird tries to bench press Seppala off him but Seppala keeps the position.
Seppala works to advance to full mount. Baird defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Seppala is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Baird fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Seppala stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Seppala wants it to stay on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vin Seppala dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


No luck with that takedown attempt from Baird.
Baird fails with the takedown.
Seppala lands with a slapping head kick.
Seppala lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Baird tries to keep at a distance but Seppala has taken the fight into the clinch.

Baird has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Seppala clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Seppala rolls, trying to escape but Baird keeps control of the position.

Baird is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Seppala can't escape the position.
Seppala is covering up but some of the strikes from Baird are getting through and doing damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Seppala tries to escape but Baird has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Seppala trying to control the position but Baird manages to sink in the hooks.
Seppala rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Baird is trying to control. Seppala wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Seppala is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Baird is keen to just control but Seppala is a slippery customer.

Baird is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Baird wants to control but Seppala is keeping him busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Baird gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Baird looking to secure an arm triangle but Seppala defends it well.

Baird goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Seppala turns into him and now he's in Baird's guard.
Seppala thows a big elbow that misses.

Seppala is looking to stand up but Baird won't let him.
Baird keeping moving, preventing Seppala from controlling successfully.

Seppala gets to his feet. Baird looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Seppala counters with a nice double leg into side control. Baird won't be happy with that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brady Baird. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Seppala tries to advance to mount but can't.
Seppala wants to control but Baird is keeping him busy.
Baird tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Seppala goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Baird rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Seppala's guard! Nice work there by Baird!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vin Seppala showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Baird shoots in but Seppala avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Baird drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Baird thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Seppala manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Seppala is defending against the submission attempts here by Baird.

Baird is trying to work for a kimura but Seppala is defending well.
Baird keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Vin Seppala has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Baird seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Baird decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Seppala smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Baird tries to clinch there but Seppala circles away.

Seppala closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Baird works his way to full guard. Good work.

Baird tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Baird is trying to control the position but Seppala postures up.

Baird has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Seppala is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Baird.
Baird is trying to improve his position.

Seppala has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Baird shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Baird stands up from Seppala's guard - Baird perhaps looking for a knockout.

Baird is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Seppala!

Baird goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Seppala turns into him and now he's in Baird's guard.

Baird has his feet on Seppala's thighs here. He's pushed Seppala off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Seppala screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
