The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorne shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ziomboj wants to clinch up but Thorne keeps it at a distance.

Ziomboj bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Thorne! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Thorne is rocked!

It looks like Evan Thorne has been cut.

Ziomboj gets to his feet. Thorne looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Oh Thorne is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Evan Thorne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Crunch! Ziomboj slams his shin into Thorne's torso.
Thorne is breathing heavily.

Ziomboj moves into the clinch successfully.

Ziomboj has hold of one of Thorne's legs. Thorne is fighting the takedown attempt but Ziomboj gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Ziomboj stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Thorne seems to have got his legs back now.
Ziomboj tries to close the distance and clinch but Thorne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ziomboj shoots in looking for a takedown. Thorne tries to sprawl out of it but Ziomboj keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thorne manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ziomboj lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Thorne falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
