Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rob Base (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brody Savanis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Base misses with a double jab.
Base doesn't manage to clinch there - Savanis circles away.

Base gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Savanis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Savanis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Base to his feet.
Savanis lands with a straight right. Base didn't see that one coming.

and Savanis counters with a nice double leg into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Base wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Savanis is now in half guard.
Savanis takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Savanis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Base wants to hold on but Savanis pushes him away.
Base is trying to escape the mount.

Brody Savanis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
