Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Urijah Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeAngelo Spite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin comes to the cage accompanied by DX. Spite has chosen "Here Comes The Boom" - Nelly as his entrance music. Urijah Griffin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Urijah Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Griffin fails with a takedown attempt.
Griffin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Griffin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Griffin in side control lands a decent elbow.
Spite can't do much from the bottom here.
Spite really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griffin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
An elbow from Griffin crashes against the mat.
Spite regains half guard, as Griffin was trying to land strikes.

Spite keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Griffin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Spite is looking to improve his position.
Griffin throwing shots but Spite is blocking nicely.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Griffin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spite tries to avoid it but Griffin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spite to the ground. Spite escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Urijah Griffin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Spite moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Spite throws a right hand that Griffin ducks under and follows up with a left that Griffin also avoids with ease.
Spite stuffs the takedown attempt from Griffin. Griffin gets slowly back to his feet.
Spite fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Griffin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Griffin is breathing heavily.
Griffin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Griffin takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Griffin shoots in and drives through. Spite sprawls well.
Nice combo by Spite! Oh, that's hurt him - Griffin falls to the canvas and Spite follows him into side control.
Griffin is rocked!
Spite has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Oh Griffin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Spite Rushes Griffin and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Griffin is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Spite Piles on the pressure and Griffin crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). DeAngelo Spite!
