Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Spank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Red forces Spank back against the cage and clinches.
Red can't find room to land a body shot as Spank controls the action.
Red working aggressively here.
Red keeps control of Spank as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Spank has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Spank tries to break the clinch but Red is controlling the position.

Spank escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Red misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Red slips a jab from Spank.
A swing and a miss from Red.
Red avoids the body shot from Spank.
Red tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spank paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Spank looks to score with a jab to the body but Red is just out of range.
Spank throws a series of punches but Red moves out of range.
Spank tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Red was well out of range. Poor timing from Spank.
Red lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Spank gets caught flat footed, as Red shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Red thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Red stops Spank from standing up.
Red sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Red working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Red postures up in Spank's guard and throws a big left but Spank blocks it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Red wants to control from the top but Spank keeps moving.
Red slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Spank is looking to stand up but Red isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No joy there for Spank, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Red throws a jab but it's blocked by Spank.
Spank scores with a jab. Red acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Spank connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Spank throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Red makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Red darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Red trying to pass the guard but Spank defending well.
Spank really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Red. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Red is working for a submission of some sort.
Red lands with a punch from half guard.
Red stops Spank from getting back to his feet.
Red wants to take a breather but Spank is having none of it.
Red wants to free his trapped foot but Spank is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Red connects with a nice short shot to Spank's temple.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Red drops an elbow to the side of Spank's head.
Red is nestled in close to Spank, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Spank looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Red tries to pass the half guard into mount. Spank knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Red missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Red thows a huge punch but Spank dodges it nicely.
Red looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Red throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Spank looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Red on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Spank throws a hook to the side of Red's head but Red sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Red fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Red lands a jab-cross combination.

Red's corner calls for a 1-2. Red obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Red rushes Spank and presses him up against the cage.
Spank has had enough of the clinch but Red keeps him there for the moment.
Red tries to land knees in the clinch but Spank avoids the damage to the body.
Red tries to score a body lock takedown but Spank shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Spank tries to circle away but Red has him pinned against the cage.
Red prevents Spank from breaking the clinch.
Red has Spank pressed against the cage, preventing Spank from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Spank is trying to force a seperation but Red has the dominant position.
Spank prevents the takedown attempt.

Red ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Red no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Red wants to sweep here but Spank controlling him for the moment.
Spank has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Red is proving hard to escape from.

Spank stands up from Red's guard - Spank perhaps looking for a knockout.
Spank looks gassed!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Red lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spank circles away quickly and effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Red is looking to advance position but Spank won't allow it.
Red throws a strike but Spank avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Spank wriggles free and stands up.
Red fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Red tries to clinch up.
Spank misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Red.

Spank gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Red to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Red in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Red postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Red is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Red loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Red content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Spank is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spank wants to get back to his feet but Red passes into half guard.

Red seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Spank is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
