Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Mad dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, John Mad dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Howard!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mad dog tries to clinch up but Howard circles away and keeps his distance.
Mad dog lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


It looks like Bobby Howard has been cut.
Howard steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mad dog.
Mad dog is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Howard takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mad dog scores with a crisp jab that stopped Howard in his tracks.
Mad dog fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Howard manages to avoid it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Howard.
Howard takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mad dog is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Mad dog throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mad dog really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mad dog drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Howard dives on top into guard.

Mad dog bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Howard's guard.

Howard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Howard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mad dog is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Howard can do to turn this around?

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Howard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
