Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pad Digger!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Digger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Digger controlling his opponent.
Let's hope that Digger has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Digger lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Despite being in the dominant position, Pad Digger just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Digger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Alfonzo's guard now.

Digger tries to free his leg and advance position but Alfonzo is retaining full guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Digger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alfonzo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Digger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alfonzo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Digger closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Digger tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alfonzo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Digger takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Pad Digger has got the better of the ground game so far.

Digger is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Alfonzo is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Alfonzo flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Digger anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Alfonzo and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Digger slips an arm under Alfonzo chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Digger has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Digger is squeezing on Alfonzo like an anaconda would it's prey. Alfonzo fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
