Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pad Digger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Belfort!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort misses with a body shot.
Digger shoots in but Belfort avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Digger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Belfort as he jumps to the side.
Digger dodges the punch combination from Belfort.
Belfort lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Belfort.
It looks like Pad Digger has been cut.
Belfort lands with a nice combination. Digger backs away looking to recover.
Belfort gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Belfort manages to pull guard.
Digger is stalling in the full guard.
Belfort can't keep his opponent in guard - Digger advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Digger keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Belfort wants to get back to his feet.
Still in half guard, Digger seems content to control.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Pad Digger just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Belfort lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Digger can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Belfort and Digger drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Belfort.
