Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brody Savanis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brody Savanis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankie Bone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brody Savanis!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savanis doesn't manage to clinch there - Bone circles away.

Bone shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Bone throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Savanis controlling the position for now.
Savanis is looking to escape.
Bone is looking to stall here but Savanis recovers full guard.
Bone trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bone stopping the sweep attempt from Savanis.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Savanis keeping moving, preventing Bone from controlling successfully.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Savanis shoots in and bounces Bone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bone has momentary wrist control but Savanis slips an elbow through the middle.
Savanis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bone keeping moving, preventing Savanis from controlling successfully.
Bone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Savanis with a nice head shot there.

Savanis controlling from the top position.
Savanis looking to pass the guard.

Savanis stands up from Bone's guard - Savanis perhaps looking for a knockout.
Savanis thows a body shot but no joy.
Bone dodges the punch combination from Savanis.
Bone takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Bone gets caught flat footed, as Savanis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Savanis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Savanis wants to stand but Bone is controlling his posture from full guard.
Savanis wants to stand and escape but instead Bone has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Savanis looks gassed!
Savanis wants to sweep but no luck.
Bone has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Savanis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Savanis wriggles free and stands up.

Bone swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Savanis.
Bone tries for a takedown but Savanis circles away easily
and Savanis counters with a nice uppercut.
Bone throws a head kick but Savanis moves out of range.
Savanis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Savanis scores with a takedown into Bone's guard.
Savanis controls from within his opponent's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bone looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Savanis passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brody Savanis dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Savanis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Savanis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bone pushes Savanis off looking to stand but Savanis dives back in and keeps control.
Bone is looking to control Savanis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bone avoid being mounted?
Savanis is looking to advance position but Bone won't allow it.
Savanis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bone defending well though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Savanis trying to pass the guard but Bone defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Savanis takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Savanis looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Savanis is thwarting Bone's attempts to control the position.
Savanis is nestled in close to Bone, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Savanis frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Savanis looking to secure an arm triangle but Bone defends it well.

Bone working to try and regain half guard.
Bone tries to lock up and control but Savanis gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Bone is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bone takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Savanis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Savanis is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bone has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Savanis controlling the pace for now.

Savanis controlling from mount.
Bone takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Savanis looking to finish Bone with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bone!
Bone in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Savanis with a couple of short strikes.
BOOM! Savanis connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Savanis is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bone can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Savanis moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bone has worked his arm free - good work by Bone!
Savanis is staying tight to Bone's torso, preventing him from escaping.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brody Savanis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Bone stuffs the takedown attempt from Savanis. Savanis gets slowly back to his feet.
Bone looks for the body kick but Savanis saw that one coming.
Bone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Savanis as he jumps to the side.
Bone closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Savanis throws a right and a left that Bone avoids nicely.

Savanis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Savanis winds up and cracks Bone with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Savanis lands strikes from half guard.
Savanis slips a nice elbow through Bone's hands, connecting with Bone's forehead.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Savanis lands a nice short elbow.

Savanis wants to work for an arm triangle but Bone is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savanis passes to side control.
Bone is working to avoid the ground and pound but Savanis connects with a decent elbow.

Savanis stands up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bone takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Savanis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Savanis trying to control but Bone is working from the bottom.
Bone looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Savanis puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Savanis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Savanis decides to stand and escape the position.
Savanis throws a sloppy head kick

and Bone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Savanis won't be happy with that.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bone working away.
Brody Savanis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
An elbow from Bone crashes against the mat.
You can see the frustration on Savanis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Bone has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Bone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Savanis was well out of range. Poor timing from Bone.

Savanis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Savanis stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bone looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Savanis!
Savanis tries to reverse the position but Bone maintains control.
Bone throwing strikes here but Savanis is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Bone goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Savanis turns into him and now he's in Bone's guard.
Savanis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Brody Savanis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Savanis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
