Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank The Trashman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei Kozlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank The Trashman!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from The Trashman.
Kozlov moves out of range of the body kick from The Trashman.
The Trashman misses with a looping left.
The Trashman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kozlov moves out of range of the strikes.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kozlov takes a swing at The Trashman's ribcage but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - The Trashman throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
The Trashman misses with an uppercut. Kozlov saw that one coming.

A combination from Kozlov does no damage.
The Trashman leaves Kozlov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kozlov works The Trashman's body with a nice hook.
The Trashman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The Trashman connects with a right hand. Kozlov shakes it off.


It looks like Andrei Kozlov has been cut.

The Trashman misses with a combination

and Kozlov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The Trashman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Kozlov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of The Trashman's head.

The Trashman is pulling down on Kozlov's head. It's preventing any offense from Kozlov, at least for the moment.
Kozlov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Kozlov passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Kozlov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by The Trashman, who protects the arm well.
Check out the look on Kozlov's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The Trashman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kozlov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The Trashman tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kozlov presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The Trashman is in a horrible position here. Kozlov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Poor strikes thrown by Kozlov there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The Trashman is looking to improve his position but Kozlov isn't that keen on the idea.
Kozlov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The Trashman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kozlov thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Kozlov throws some wild stikes that The Trashman manages to avoid easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kozlov is in the full mount, landing strikes.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The Trashman just misses with a punch to the body.
The Trashman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kozlov sees it coming and avoids it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The Trashman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Kozlov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with The Trashman but The Trashman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kozlov shoots for a double leg takedown but The Trashman sprawls well. He's pushed Kozlov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Andrei Kozlov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kozlov slips a straight right by The Trashman.
The Trashman cracks Kozlov with a right hand to the side of the head.

The Trashman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kozlov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The Trashman looks to land a left hand but Kozlov moved out of range nicely.

The Trashman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kozlov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The Trashman is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Kozlov moves away from the strike by The Trashman.
Kozlov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Trashman tries to avoid it but Kozlov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Trashman to the ground. The Trashman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei Kozlov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kozlov slips a straight right by The Trashman.
The fight stays on the outside here - The Trashman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The Trashman tries to bum rush Kozlov with a series of wild strikes but Kozlov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

and Kozlov counters with a takedown into side control.
Kozlov works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Kozlov fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kozlov laying and praying for a moment but The Trashman takes advantage and regains half guard.

The Trashman is refusing to be controlled, as Kozlov sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Andrei Kozlov will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The Trashman is looking to get back to his feet here but Kozlov is keeping cool and he's managed to take The Trashman's back.
Kozlov somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Kozlov controlling well, preventing The Trashman from escaping the position.
Even with his hooks in, Kozlov manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Kozlov has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, The Trashman has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The Trashman trying to control the action but Kozlov just sinks the hooks in.
Kozlov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Frank The Trashman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The Trashman is covering up but some of the strikes from Kozlov are getting through and doing damage.
The Trashman is keeping busy.
Even with his hooks in, Kozlov manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Kozlov lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can The Trashman hold on?!
Andrei Kozlov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The Trashman just trying to survive but Kozlov is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

The Trashman trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

The Trashman is trying to escape under a series of strikes and manages to escape from Kozlov 's hooks.

Andrei Kozlov showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kozlov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
