The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joad pushes Williams away with a front kick.
Joad connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Joad fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Joad keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Joad wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Williams looks gassed!
Joad throws out a leg kick but Williams moves out of range and Joad only half commits.
Williams takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Joad works Williams's body with a nice hook.
Tom Joad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Joad connects with a right hand. Williams shakes it off.

Joad thuds his right hand into Williams's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Joad will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Joad circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Williams to the canvas! Williams doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Joad keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
