PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michio Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leyeyasu Tokugawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suzuki comes to the ring accompanied by Dragonball Z Theme. Leyeyasu Tokugawa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michio Suzuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leyeyasu Tokugawa!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Tokugawa motions for Suzuki to come forward. Tokugawa throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Suzuki tries to bum rush Tokugawa with a series of wild strikes but Tokugawa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Suzuki looks to score with a jab to the body but Tokugawa is just out of range.

Suzuki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tokugawa throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Suzuki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tokugawa moves away.
Suzuki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tokugawa swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Suzuki lands with a nice body punch.
Suzuki lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Suzuki, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
