The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alpha keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Alpha defending well as Penderas loads up on a big left hand.
Penderas misses with a two punch combination.
Penderas looks to land a left hand but Alpha moved out of range nicely.
Penderas misses with a body shot.
Penderas takes one to the chin there.
Penderas moves away from the strike by Alpha.
Alpha ducks under a wild hook from Penderas.
Alpha lands a body shot.
Penderas lands a right hook to the body.
Penderas throws a sloppy body shot
and Alpha counters with a nice uppercut.
Penderas misses with a straight right.
Penderas throws a shot from downtown. Alpha moves away and avoids it.
Penderas throws a jab when Alpha was well out of range.
Alpha slips under a jab from Penderas.
Penderas lands with an overhand left.

The fighters circling - Penderas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Alpha misses with a combination
letting Penderas counter with a right hand.
Penderas moves forwards but Alpha connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Penderas misses with a looping left.
Alpha tries to clinch up.

Alpha fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Penderas, pushing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Penderas's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Alpha lands with a left to the head.
Alpha trying to control the position but instead, Penderas has worked for underhooks and has pushed Alpha into the cage.
Penderas is trying to break the clinch but Alpha is controlling him.
Alpha misses with some punches.

Penderas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Penderas loads up on a big right hand but Alpha slips the punch.
Penderas smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Alpha is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Penderas has cracked Alpha with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Penderas lands another huge swinging hook and Alpha tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Alpha, before Penderas can land any more shots!
