Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Barnard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, david dunn!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnard tries a head kick but it misses.
Barnard shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts dunn as he jumps to the side.

and Barnard decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in dunn's guard.
Barnard wants to control from the top but dunn keeps moving.
Barnard throwing strikes but missing.
Barnard showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Barnard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for dunn on the ground.
dunn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Barnard landing with the ground and pound.
Barnard's corner is telling him to maintain position.
dunn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Barnard throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as dunn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
dunn tries to clinch but Barnard is having none of it.
Barnard shoots in for a double leg but dunn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
dunn lands a head kick. Barnard smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Barnard shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Barnard was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Barnard is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But dunn has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from dunn!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
dunn is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Barnard has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Barnard wants to control but dunn is keeping him busy.
dunn manages to work his way to half guard, despite Barnard's best efforts.
dunn tries to roll over but Barnard keeps him under control.
dunn moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Barnard wants to pass the guard but dunn is keeping the position.

dunn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Barnard is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in dunn's half guard.

Barnard slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Barnard avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

dunn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Barnard's guard.
dunn looking to sit in guard and control but Barnard gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Barnard postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! dunn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Barnard, into his guard.
dunn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Barnard's guard.
Well, if dunn is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Barnard wants to control the action here but instead dunn manages to pass to full mount!

Barnard tries to control dunn's body but dunn pushes him off. Barnard squirms to his side and now dunn has his back!

dunn is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Barnard defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Barnard tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Barnard on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Barnard tries to get out of the position.
Barnard is squirming around, avoiding dunn's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

dunn is working an open guard so Barnard takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Barnard throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Barnard tries to close the distance and clinch but dunn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Barnard plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Barnard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
dunn is trying to get back to full guard.
Barnard slips a nice elbow through dunn's hands, connecting with dunn's forehead.

dunn is defending against the submission attempts here by Barnard.
dunn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Barnard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Barnard's back!
dunn is trying to stick to Barnard's back but Barnard is turning into dunn. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in dunn's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Barnard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barnard, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
