Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Vortex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JJ Pajis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pajis has chosen Prodigy - Warrior's Dance as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vortex fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Horrible takedown by Vortex or perhaps it was just good defense by Pajis which made him look bad.
Pajis moves in looking to clinch but Vortex pushes him off.
Vortex shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pajis as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Vortex. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vortex circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vortex shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vortex prevents Pajis from getting back to his feet.

Vortex wants to control the pace but Pajis is squirming around nicely.

Vortex postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pajis looks a forlorn figure.

Vortex pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pajis's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Vortex is in the full mount, landing strikes.

That's time! Vortex's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Vortex closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vortex lands in his opponent's guard.
Vortex lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Vortex is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pajis can do to turn this around?
Vortex drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pajis manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vortex has Pajis in his guard.
Vortex controls Pajis momentarily but Pajis frees himself.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pajis content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Vortex is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pajis postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Pajis throws a big right hand that misses.
Vortex lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pajis!
Vortex goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Pajis is on top in guard.
Vortex is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Vortex tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pajis knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
