Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seiya Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dale Grubble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kobayashi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sugar. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Seiya Kobayashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dale Grubble!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobayashi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice uppercut there from Kobayashi.
Grubble fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Grubble looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kobayashi is fending him off so far but Grubble persists. Nope, Kobayashi circles away and we're back to standing.
Seiya Kobayashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dale Grubble.
A lazy left from Kobayashi finds it's target.
Kobayashi scores with a punch to the head.
Kobayashi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grubble paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kobayashi is looking to slow Grubble down with leg kicks.
Kobayashi connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Grubble is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Seiya Kobayashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kobayashi clinches up against the cage.
Kobayashi tries to stall but Grubble uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kobayashi can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
Grubble changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kobayashi fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kobayashi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kobayashi throws a series of strikes that have Grubble backpedaling.
Seiya Kobayashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kobayashi thuds a left hand into Grubble's body.
Kobayashi lunges at Grubble with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Grubble's hand.
Grubble should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A punch lands to the side of Grubble 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Grubble is still on wobbly legs! Can Kobayashi finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kobayashi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Grubble on the side of the head.
Grubble tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Grubble seems to have recovered his senses.
Nice body punch from Kobayashi.
Kobayashi cracks Grubble with a good jab.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kobayashi.

Grubble on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Kobayashi sends Grubble crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kobayashi is motioning to the referee to let Grubble up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Kobayashi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Kobayashi closes the distance and clinches.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Kobayashi tries for a takedown but Grubble manages to get underhooks.
Kobayashi trying to control the position but instead, Grubble has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kobayashi into the cage.
Grubble gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kobayashi.
Kobayashi is looking to control Grubble's arms but Grubble gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kobayashi has his back to the cage.
Grubble is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kobayashi is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Grubble.

Kobayashi breaks the clinch.
Grubble changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kobayashi tries to avoid it but Grubble manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kobayashi to the ground. Kobayashi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Grubble takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Grubble takes one to the side of the head.
Grubble swats away the attempt to clinch by Kobayashi.
Kobayashi is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Kobayashi lands a nice hook to Grubble's body. Grubble takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kobayashi clobbers Grubble with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kobayashi misses with a head kick.
Kobayashi closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Kobayashi lands a left and a right that send Grubble crashing to the mat, dazed. Kobayashi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kobayashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kobayashi lands a with a good body shot.
Kobayashi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Good standup being displayed there by Kobayashi as he connects with a hook.
Kobayashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Grubble. That did some damage!
Grubble takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The fighters circle, before Kobayashi throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Grubble's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Kobayashi lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Seiya Kobayashi!
