The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Owens 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mirasty scores with a jab. Owens acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Mirasty leaves Owens with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mirasty looks to land a combination but Owens avoids it well.
Mirasty throws a shot from downtown. Owens moves away and avoids it.
Mirasty throws a hook but Owens avoids it easily.
A big left from Mirasty misses.
Owens shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mirasty as he jumps to the side.
Mirasty throws a series of punches but Owens avoids them all with ease.
Owens shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mirasty as he avoids it easily.
Jon Mirasty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Owens.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mirasty darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Owens is looking to clinch but Mirasty is avoiding it.
Mirasty misses with a looping left.
Mirasty slaps away a takedown attempt from Owens, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Owens will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mirasty scores with a nice strike.
Mirasty throws a series of strikes that have Owens backpedaling.
Mirasty throws an overhand right that lands on Owens's shoulder, as Owens tries to avoid the shot.
Owens needs to keep his hands up - Mirasty had a free shot at his head there.
Owens takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Owens is rocked!
Mirasty is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Mirasty walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Owens drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Mirasty swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Owens's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
