Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Wheldon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepe Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendoza throws a jab but it's blocked by Wheldon.
A telegraphed right hand from Mendoza misses the target.
Mendoza throws and low kick but Wheldon moves out of range easily.

Wheldon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mendoza.

Mendoza shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wheldon's guard.

Mendoza will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Wheldon up against the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
