Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kongo Bongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristoffer Kvam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bongo on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Bongo moves into the clinch.

Bongo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A big right from Bongo misses.
Bongo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kvam as he avoids it easily.
Kvam scores with a one two! Bongo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Kvam shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Kvam thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bongo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kvam is working away from the top position though.
Well, if Kvam is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bongo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kvam is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Kvam goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bongo is on top in guard.

Bongo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bongo lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Bongo has Kvam flattened out and is raining down punches.
Kvam grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Kvam manages to reverse the position and now he's in Bongo's guard. Nice work there by Kvam.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kvam drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kvam jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
