Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jari Nurmelainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalle Plumpman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jari Nurmelainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kalle Plumpman! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nurmelainen shoots in for a double leg but Plumpman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Plumpman tries to bum rush Nurmelainen with a series of wild strikes but Nurmelainen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Plumpman misses with a series of wild punches.
Plumpman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nurmelainen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Plumpman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nurmelainen somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jari Nurmelainen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nurmelainen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Nurmelainen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Nurmelainen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Nurmelainen is trying to control. Plumpman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nurmelainen is stalling here. Plumpman is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Nurmelainen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Plumpman has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Nurmelainen is looking for a sweep. Plumpman trying to control the position but Nurmelainen is working away. Nurmelainen tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nurmelainen is looking to land body kicks. Nurmelainen walks into a left hand.
It looks like Jari Nurmelainen has been cut. Nurmelainen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Plumpman as he jumps to the side. Nurmelainen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Plumpman tries to avoid it but Nurmelainen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Plumpman to the ground. Plumpman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nurmelainen is breathing heavily. Nurmelainen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Plumpman to score with a decent uppercut. Nurmelainen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Plumpman pinned against the cage. Plumpman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Plumpman lands a left and a right that send Nurmelainen crashing to the mat, dazed. Plumpman thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Nurmelainen is rocked! Plumpman lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Nurmelainen falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kalle Plumpman!
