Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Blixt Boxlund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boxlund manages to avoid it.
A jab from Jones misses.
Jones thows a left - swing and a miss!
Boxlund jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Rod Jones has been cut.
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Boxlund cracks Jones with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Boxlund swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Boxlund thows a body shot but no joy.
Jones keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boxlund rushes Jones with punches - Jones moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Jones goes down! Boxlund follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Blixt Boxlund!
Blixt Boxlund is the new lightweight champion!
