Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Youngblood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Youngblood comes into the arena with Max B - Never Wanna Go Back blaring out of the sound system. Jordan Youngblood has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Youngblood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Anderson.
Anderson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Youngblood sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Youngblood stops Anderson from passing to mount.
Anderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Anderson controls the position.
Anderson misses with the ground and pound.
Youngblood tries to bench press Anderson off him but Anderson keeps the position.
Youngblood takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Youngblood tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Anderson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Youngblood's shoulder. That is not cool.
Anderson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Youngblood!
Anderson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Anderson working away from the top, dropping strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Anderson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Youngblood is in a horrible position here. Anderson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Anderson looking to control but Youngblood is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Anderson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Youngblood can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Anderson tries to control but Youngblood wriggling away.

Anderson is looking for a kimura but Youngblood is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Anderson to get the leverage.

Anderson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Youngblood, right into the meat.
Youngblood misses with a two punch combination.
Youngblood takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Youngblood scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Greg Anderson has been cut.
Anderson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Youngblood misses with a double jab.
Anderson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Youngblood fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Anderson blocks a head kick by Youngblood.
Youngblood scores with a body shot.
Youngblood lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Anderson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Youngblood cracks Anderson with a good jab.
Anderson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Youngblood is on top in guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Youngblood lands a nice shot to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Anderson.
Youngblood throws a head kick but Anderson moves out of range.
Youngblood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anderson circles away quickly and effectively.
Youngblood moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Youngblood misses with a series of wild punches.

Anderson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Anderson working over Youngblood with some ground and pound. Youngblood looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Anderson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Youngblood can't escape the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Anderson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Youngblood has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Anderson's lack of action.
Anderson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Youngblood does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Anderson is stalling here. Youngblood is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Anderson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Youngblood has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Youngblood stands up and beckons Anderson to his feet.
Youngblood looks to land a combination. Anderson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Anderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Youngblood tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Anderson wants to control from the top but Youngblood keeps moving.

Youngblood scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Youngblood misses with a jab, cross combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Anderson is defended easily by Youngblood.
Youngblood scores with a hook to the body. Anderson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Youngblood lands a two punch combo.

Anderson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Youngblood on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Youngblood tries to get out of the position.
Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Youngblood keeps working.
The fighters are battling for position here. Youngblood manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Youngblood bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Anderson's guard.

Anderson wants to sweep but no luck.
Youngblood is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Anderson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Youngblood defends well.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Anderson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Youngblood!
Youngblood is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jordan Youngblood will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Anderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Youngblood did well to prevent Anderson getting side control.
Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Youngblood keeps working.
Youngblood makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Youngblood.
Anderson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Youngblood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Youngblood is on top in guard.
Youngblood wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
Anderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Youngblood is one step ahead there.

Youngblood seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Youngblood sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Anderson's guard.
Youngblood is looking to take a break and control but Anderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Youngblood is nestled in close to Anderson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Youngblood passes to full mount!

Youngblood looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Youngblood thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Anderson tries to lock up and control but Youngblood gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Anderson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Youngblood is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Anderson is surviving well by controlling Youngblood's body position as best he can.
Anderson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Anderson is squirming around, avoiding Youngblood's attempts to control the action.
Anderson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Youngblood working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Anderson landing rabbit punches to the side of Youngblood's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
Anderson is in trouble now - Youngblood has advanced to mount!

Feeble punches landing from Anderson - he's mounted - they can't hurt.
Anderson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Youngblood wants to control the pace but Anderson is squirming around nicely.

Anderson is desperately trying to improve his position but Youngblood has a good base and remains in mount.

Youngblood is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Anderson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Youngblood with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Anderson wants to hold on but Youngblood pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jordan Youngblood.
I think Youngblood has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
