Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Ferraz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zac Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferraz comes to the cage accompanied by Otario. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferraz wants to clinch.
Ferraz tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ferraz.
Ferraz shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Ferraz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ferraz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ferraz gets slowly back to his feet.

Ferraz throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely.

Silva is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ferraz has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferraz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ferraz really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Silva.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ferraz is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Silva. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Silva staying busy and making it hard for Ferraz to control.
Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferraz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Rodrigo Ferraz just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Ferraz misses with a low kick as Silva jumps back.

Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ferraz.
Ferraz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ferraz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Ferraz here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Ferraz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Ferraz finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ferraz connects with a couple of short punches.
Ferraz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Ferraz prevents Silva from standing back up.
Ferraz passes to full mount!
Silva is looking to improve his position but Ferraz isn't that keen on the idea.

Silva has left one of his arms exposed and Ferraz doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Silva screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
