Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mac Cheese!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gideon Marchant!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marchant closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cheese did well to prevent Marchant getting side control.
Marchant thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cheese's head.
Ground and pound from Marchant.
Cheese looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marchant thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Marchant seems to be looking for submissions.
Marchant is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cheese defends it well.
Marchant is working for a kimura but Cheese is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cheese keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Marchant thows a huge punch but Cheese dodges it nicely.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Marchant attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Marchant gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Cheese scores with a jab to the head.
Marchant takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Marchant has a takedown stuffed.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Marchant is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cheese.
Cheese lands a two punch combo.
Cheese lands a nice looking body shot.
Cheese takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Marchant closes the distance and clinches up with Cheese, looking for a takedown. Marchant pushes Cheese against the cage but Cheese circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cheese will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cheese throws a series of strikes that have Marchant backpedaling.
Cheese lands with a right hand.
Marchant misses with a low kick.
A jab from Cheese finds it's way through Marchant's defenses.
Cheese works over Marchant's head and body with a nice combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Marchant is defended easily by Cheese.
Mac Cheese has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gideon Marchant.
Cheese lands a nice hook to Marchant's body. Marchant takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Cheese throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Marchant stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cheese moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marchant is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cheese.
Marchant is rocked!
Cheese throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Marchant is still on wobbly legs! Can Cheese finish him?
A big right followed by a crushing left from Cheese knocks Marchant out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mac Cheese!
