The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson gets a takedown into half guard.
Johnson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Johnson stops Jones from getting back to his feet.
Johnson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Jones wants to improve his position but Johnson is controlling well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jones misses with an attempted mid kick.

Jones throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease.
Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily.
Jones moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Johnson avoids the body shot from Jones.
Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him.
Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Johnson with a flurry of punches that miss.

Johnson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Johnson, into his guard.

Jones is looking to stand up but Johnson won't let him.

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Johnson has an active guard here but Jones has managed to pass into half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jones wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it.
Jones is pressing down on Johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnson is holding on for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jones lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jones throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.

Jones drops Johnson with a beautiful combination! Johnson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jones is looking for the KO!
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Johnson has eaten all the pies!
Johnson on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Johnson is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?
BOOM! Jones lands a beautiful left hook that drops Johnson. Johnson tries to recover but Jones is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Johnson lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
