These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martini misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
the Ripper tries to close the distance and clinch but Martini swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A big left from the Ripper misses.
Martini lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Martini.
the Ripper fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Martini.
Martini is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. the Ripper looks calm but he's in trouble here. Martini gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. the Ripper is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Martini lets go of the hold and the Ripper can pop his arm back in it's socket.
