Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maro Santos!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos tries to clinch up.
Hall stalks Santos and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Santos's face. Santos staggers backwards, shaken.

Santos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hall to the mat! Hall manages to get full guard.

Hall is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Santos is aware though and is defending well.
Santos stops Hall from standing up.

Santos gets to his feet. Hall looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Santos moves out of range of the body kick from Hall.
Santos circles away from the clinch attempt

and Santos counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Santos.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hall keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully.
Santos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Santos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hall works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Santos throws a right and a left that Hall avoids nicely.
Hall throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Santos clinches up with Hall and pushes him back against the cage.
Santos is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hall is defending well for now.
Hall takes a knee to the side of the body.
Hall is breathing heavily.
Hall jumps guard but Santos stands there with Hall around his waist. Hall gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hall is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Santos avoiding damage.

Santos is trying to trip Hall. He has hold of a leg but Hall is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Santos persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Santos wants to control from the top but Hall keeps moving.
Santos in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Santos chips away with some ground and pound.

Santos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hall has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Santos has managed to get both his arms back between Hall's legs - danger averted.
Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Hall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Santos is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Santos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Santos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Santos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Santos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Santos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Santos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Santos clinches up with Hall and pushes him back against the cage.

Santos wants to control but Hall passes easily into half guard.

Hall seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are battling for position here. Santos manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Santos is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Santos controls Hall momentarily but Hall frees himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Santos is keeping the position for now.
Hall postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maro Santos dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Santos lands a left and a right that send Hall crashing to the mat, dazed. Santos thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Hall is rocked!


It looks like Jesse Hall has been cut.
Santos looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Oh Hall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Santos throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Hall crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Maro Santos!
