Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Artemis Bray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frazier has chosen Pray for Plagues as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Artemis Bray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Frazier!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bray throws a wild body kick that Frazier sees coming a mile off.

Bray drives through with a takedown into guard.

Frazier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bray gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bray is stalling in the full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bray's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bray passes Frazier's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bray passes the guard and advances to mount!
Bray prevents Frazier from getting the reversal.
Bray in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Frazier is trying to escape the mount.
Bray wants to control the pace but Frazier is squirming around nicely.

Bray is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Frazier can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Frazier is squirming around, avoiding Bray's attempts to control the action.

Bray lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Frazier sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Bray is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Frazier is just riding it out for now. Bray eventually gives up the hold.

Well, if Bray is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Frazier sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Bray tries to free his leg and advance position but Frazier is retaining full guard.
Bray wants to control from the top but Frazier keeps moving.

Frazier shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bray counters with a takedown into side control.
Bray cracks Frazier with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Frazier is not content to let Bray control the position.

Bray wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frazier, who protects the arm well.

Bray looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Frazier regains half guard.

Bray looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Frazier throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bray with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Bray winds up and cracks Frazier with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Frazier flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Bray moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Frazier.
Frazier is looking for a sweep.
Bray is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Frazier is not content to let Bray control the position.

Bray goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Frazier rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bray's guard! Nice work there by Frazier!

Frazier drops back looking for a leg! Bray is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bray manages to kick Frazier off! Frazier jumps back into Bray's guard.
Bray looking for a sweep. Not yet Bray, not yet.
Bray utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Frazier trying to control the position from guard on top but Bray is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bray seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Frazier wants to control from the top but Bray keeps moving.
Bray has his hands on Frazier's head, controlling the position.
Bray wants to sweep but no luck.

Frazier drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Frazier jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frazier working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Frazier in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bray working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Frazier.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bray fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Frazier sprawls well initially but Bray persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Bray tries to pass the half guard into mount. Frazier knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Frazier has hold of Bray's hands but Bray slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

so Bray counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Frazier is looking for a triangle but Bray pushes his legs off easily.

Bray makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Frazier can't keep his opponent in guard - Bray advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Frazier is desperately trying to improve his position but Bray has a good base and remains in mount.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Artemis Bray just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Frazier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bray gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bray not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Frazier had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bray is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Frazier Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bray's back instead.
Bray is trying to stand back up.

Well Bray has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
