Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Melstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steave Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melstrom tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jordan swivels and escapes.
Jordan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Melstrom regains full guard. Nicely done.
Jordan is stalling in the full guard.
Melstrom not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Melstrom is looking to stand up but Jordan isn't so interested in that idea.
Melstrom looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jordan is one step ahead there.

Jordan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Melstrom is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Melstrom closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jordan did well to prevent Melstrom getting side control.
Melstrom wants to pass to mount but Jordan is defending the position.
Melstrom seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jordan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Melstrom is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Melstrom gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Melstrom shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jordan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Melstrom's guard.
Melstrom is breathing heavily.
Melstrom manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jordan manages to get himself to full guard.

Melstrom trying to control but Jordan is working from the bottom.

Melstrom postures up in Jordan's guard and throws a big left but Jordan blocks it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Melstrom wants to stand but Jordan is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jordan keeping moving, preventing Melstrom from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steave Jordan dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jordan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jordan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Melstrom knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jordan is thwarting Melstrom's attempts to control the position.
Melstrom tries to get to full guard but Jordan has control of the leg.
Jordan is pressing down on Melstrom's thigh, looking to free his foot. Melstrom is holding on for now.
Jordan is breathing heavily.

Jordan misses with a head shot. Melstrom uses the momentum to regain guard.

Melstrom keeping moving, preventing Jordan from controlling successfully.
Jordan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Melstrom is looking to clinch.
Melstrom fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jordan, pushing him back against the cage.
Melstrom blocks a body shot from Jordan.
Melstrom goes for a takedown attempt but Jordan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jordan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Melstrom!
Melstrom is trying to escape the mount.
Melstrom slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Melstrom is pressing down on Jordan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Melstrom pulls Jordan in to control the position.
Jordan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Melstrom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Melstrom is on top in guard.
Melstrom trying to control the position from guard on top but Jordan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Melstrom is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Melstrom passes Jordan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Steave Jordan will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Melstrom shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jordan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jordan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Sloppy strikes there by Melstrom.
Melstrom content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Jordan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Melstrom is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jordan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Melstrom wants to control but Jordan is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jacob Melstrom just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Jordan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Melstrom was covering up waiting for the punch and Jordan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Melstrom is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Melstrom is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Melstrom is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jordan defends it well.
Melstrom trying to control the action but Jordan is working from the bottom.
Steave Jordan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jordan is trying to stand.
Melstrom is controlling the pace.
And that's the end of the fight!
Jacob Melstrom showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Jordan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
