Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don DeMarco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Zedowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zedowski chopping away at his opponent's legs.
DeMarco defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zedowski.
DeMarco throws a jab when Zedowski was well out of range.
DeMarco bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

It looks like Steven Zedowski has been cut.
Zedowski takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

DeMarco closes the distance and pushes Zedowski back into the cage.
Zedowski wants a takedown.
DeMarco is trying to break the clinch but Zedowski has him pressed against the cage.
Zedowski drops down looking for an ankle pick but DeMarco pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Zedowski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in DeMarco's guard.

Zedowski throws a strike but DeMarco rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Zedowski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by DeMarco.

Zedowski takes a swing at DeMarco's ribcage but misses.
DeMarco dives in and grabs Zedowski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zedowski pushes down on DeMarco's head and hops out.
DeMarco throws a right and a left that both miss.
Zedowski fails to land the takedown.
DeMarco takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Zedowski blocks a jab.
DeMarco throws a one two combo.

Zedowski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This has been an exciting period of action!
DeMarco wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DeMarco sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Zedowski is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and DeMarco reverses the position - he's now on top in Zedowski's guard.
Zedowski is looking to stand up but DeMarco isn't so interested in that idea.

Zedowski wants to stand but DeMarco is controlling the position.

DeMarco decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Zedowski, up you get!
Left hook, right uppercut from DeMarco.

DeMarco has managed to clinch.
Zedowski keeps control of DeMarco as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Zedowski has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. DeMarco avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Zedowski is looking for a takedown up against the cage. DeMarco gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
DeMarco manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

DeMarco wants the takedown. Zedowski is fighting it off but DeMarco persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Zedowski's guard against the cage.

DeMarco got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zedowski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, DeMarco has managed to get both his arms back between Zedowski's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
DeMarco wants to control from the top but Zedowski keeps moving.

DeMarco darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Zedowski's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles DeMarco before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
