Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddel throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Riddel connects with the punch.
It looks like Santino Gonzales has been cut.
Gonzales shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riddel wants to control but Gonzales is keeping busy.
Gonzales is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Gonzales distracts Riddel with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Riddel throws a nice looking combination but Gonzales bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gonzales is trying hard to land a takedown here. Riddel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Riddel throws a left that rocks Gonzales and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Riddel dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Gonzales regain composure!

Gonzales is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Gonzales seems to have recovered his senses.

Riddel is trying to control. Gonzales wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Riddel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gonzales on the ground.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gonzales shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Riddel sprawls well. Riddel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gonzales gets slowly back to his feet.

Riddel throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Gonzales stumbling backwards into the cage! Gonzales bounces back off the cage towards Riddel, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Riddel lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Riddel celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chruck Riddel!
