Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Knight!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David misses the shot to the body.
David misses with a double jab.
David connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
David throws the left hand but Knight avoids the punch easily.
David misses with a looping right.
Knight misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Knight moves out of range as David strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - David throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

David throws a series of punches but Knight avoids them all with ease.
David throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
David throws a hook to the side of Knight's head but Knight sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Knight shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
David misses with a looping left.

Horrible takedown by Knight or perhaps it was just good defense by David which made him look bad.
Jan David has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Knight.
Knight ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The fighters circling - David throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Knight closes this distance looking for a takedown but David circles away.
David looks to land a left hand but Knight moved out of range nicely.
Jan David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

David loads up on a big right hand but Knight slips the punch.
Knight steps to the side to avoid the strikes from David.
Knight shoots in looking for a takedown. David tries to sprawl out of it but Knight keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. David manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Knight takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
David misses with an uppercut.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
David connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
David works over Knight's head and body with a nice combination.
Knight slips a jab from David.
Donk. David catches Knight right on the button with a cross.
David scores with the left hand. Knight knows he should have avoided that one.
David misses the shot to the body.
David throws a jab when Knight was well out of range.
David scores with a crisp jab that stopped Knight in his tracks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jan David dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Knight displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as David throws out the jab.

David ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The fighters circle momentarily. David darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
David looks to throw the jab but Knight is out of range.

Knight closes the distance and clinches up with David, looking for a takedown. Knight pushes David against the ropes but David circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

David looks to land a left hand but Knight moved out of range nicely.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!


David waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Knight.

David thows a left - swing and a miss!
Knight ducks right into an uppercut from David.

Knight throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. David was covering up waiting for the punch and Knight finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Knight missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Knight with a nice head shot there.
Knight in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Knight throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Knight looking to sit in guard and control but David gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Knight is working an open guard so David takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
David misses with a hook. Knight ducked under it nicely.

David thuds his right hand into Knight's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
David misses with an uppercut. Knight saw that one coming.
The fighters circling - David throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
David rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Knight moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
David misses with a few strikes there.
David is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
A swing and a miss from David.
Jan David is winning the standup battle so far.
David misses with an uppercut. Knight saw that one coming.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
David throws a hook but Knight avoids it easily.
Knight steps to the side to avoid the strikes from David.
Knight uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from David.
Will Knight has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
David stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and David wants it to stay on the feet.
Knight shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts David as he jumps to the side.
David throws a shot from downtown. Knight moves away and avoids it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jan David showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for David, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
