The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquardt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Badass is fending him off so far but Marquardt persists. Nope, Badass circles away and we're back to standing.
Marquardt turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Marquardt throws a low kick, looking for Badass's leg but Badass calmly moves out of range.
Marquardt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Badass fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Marquardt is out of range.
Marquardt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Badass as he avoids it easily.
Badass throws a shot from downtown. Marquardt moves away and avoids it.

Badass throws a lazy head kick
and Marquardt counters with a thumping low kick.

Badass fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Marquardt.
Marquardt will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Marquardt connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Badass some visible discomfort.

Marquardt is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Badass is trying to escape and Marquardt transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Badass is forced to tap! Nice work there by Marquardt! Very nice indeed!
