Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danger Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel has chosen Hammerfall-Last man standing as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Stephan Steel acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stephan Steel!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi looks to score with a jab to the body but Steel is just out of range.
Takeshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steel moves away.
Steel throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Takeshi checks the leg kick nicely there.
Takeshi throws a lazy right hand but Steel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Steel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Takeshi, pushing him back against the cage.
Steel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Steel wants to get back to striking at distance but Takeshi won't allow it.
Steel can't break the clinch.
Steel wants to break free but Takeshi has control.

Takeshi jumps into guard, dragging Steel to the mat.

Takeshi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A decent looking cross lands there for Takeshi.
Takeshi bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Steel! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Steel tries to buck Takeshi off but Takeshi is having none of it.

Steel is trying to keep Takeshi in close.
Takeshi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Steel thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Steel wriggles free and stands up.
Steel throws a series of punches but Takeshi avoids them all with ease.
Takeshi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Steel. That did some damage!
Takeshi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steel but Steel pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Takeshi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Steel throws out the jab.
Steel moves away from the strike by Takeshi.

and Steel counters with a stiff right hand.
Takeshi lands with a shot to the body.

and Steel counters with a three punch combo that has Takeshi backing up. Takeshi nods at Steel to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Takeshi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Takeshi lands a big shot that drops Steel! Can he finish him?

Danger Takeshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Steel throws a right hand that Takeshi ducks under and follows up with a left that Takeshi also avoids with ease.

Takeshi is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steel can do anything to dispel that myth.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Takeshi connects with a nice short shot to Steel's temple.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Takeshi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Steel staying out of range there.
Takeshi throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Steel stumbling backwards into the cage! Steel bounces back off the cage towards Takeshi, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Takeshi lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Takeshi celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Danger Takeshi!
