Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Hampton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piyapwn Chakwow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Hampton shoots for a double leg takedown but Chakwow sprawls well. He's pushed Hampton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Chakwow gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hampton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chakwow for as long as he can get away with.

Hampton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hampton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Chakwow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hampton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
