Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalibr Snaryadov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes to the cage accompanied by Pride Theme. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kalibr Snaryadov was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kalibr Snaryadov!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko tries to clinch but Snaryadov is having none of it.

A big head kick from Snaryadov and Emelianenko is sent sprawling to the canvas!


It looks like Fedor Emelianenko has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Snaryadov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Emelianenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Snaryadov wants to stand but Emelianenko is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Emelianenko will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Snaryadov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Emelianenko is proving hard to escape from.

Emelianenko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Snaryadov is looking to escape.
Emelianenko lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Snaryadov tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Emelianenko throws some wild stikes that Snaryadov manages to avoid easily.
Snaryadov keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Snaryadov's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Snaryadov tries to lock up and control but Emelianenko gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Emelianenko trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Snaryadov keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Snaryadov gets back to half guard.
Emelianenko missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Emelianenko wants to control but Snaryadov is keeping him busy.
Emelianenko prevents Snaryadov from improving his position.

Snaryadov makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
