Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between charlie brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommie Karlsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson throws a sloppy head kick and brown moves out of range easily.

Karlsson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
brown can't do much from the bottom here.

Karlsson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
brown attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Karlsson fails with a takedown attempt.
brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
brown shoots in for a takedown but Karlsson shows good takedown defense.
Karlsson throws the kick towards the body but brown avoids it.

brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Karlsson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, brown has worked his arm free - good work by brown!

Karlsson is trying to get an arm triangle but brown is defending well.

brown is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Karlsson is keeping busy.

brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Karlsson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Karlsson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but brown frees his head nicely. Oh but Karlsson has switched to an armbar! brown is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
