With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chuck Liddel!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Liddel drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Liddel throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Liddel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Keenan tries to improve position but can't.

Liddel wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Keenan, who protects the arm well.
Keenan is trying to improve his position.
Liddel trying to control the action but Keenan is working from the bottom.
Liddel is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Keenan parries the strikes from Liddel easily there. Liddel is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Keenan to escape.

Liddel decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Liddel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Keenan is fending him off so far but Liddel persists. Nope, Keenan circles away and we're back to standing.

Keenan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Liddel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Keenan is looking for a triangle but Liddel pushes his legs off easily.

Keenan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Liddel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Liddel is stalling in the full guard.
Liddel is looking to work some ground and pound but Keenan has wrist control.
Liddel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Keenan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Liddel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Liddel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Keenan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Liddel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Keenan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Liddel's back instead.
