Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maestre Hulk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers dives in and grabs Hulk's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hulk pushes down on Powers's head and hops out.
Hulk decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Powers is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hulk scores with a couple of nice shots.
Powers gets back to full guard.
Powers working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hulk.
Powers looking for a sweep. Not yet Powers, not yet.
Hulk lands a couple of digs.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Powers had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hulk is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Powers Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hulk's back instead.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hulk closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Powers did well to prevent Hulk getting side control.

Hulk takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Hulk looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Powers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Powers is not content to let Hulk control the position.

Hulk scores with a big shot! Powers's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Powers! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
