The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pran fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Howard avoids it really well and circles away.
Howard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pran.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pran looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Pran slows the pace down in half guard.
Howard misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Howard has hold of Pran's hands but Pran slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Pran postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Howard to stand up.
Howard is breathing heavily.
Howard throws a hook but Pran avoids it easily.
Howard misses with a series of wild punches.
Pran throws a sloppy head kick and Howard moves out of range easily.
Pran fails to land the takedown.

Howard forces Pran back against the cage and clinches.
A short body shot lands from Howard as the two fighters clinch.

Howard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Howard.
Howard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pran moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pran jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Howard walks away with a smile on his face. Pran gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
