The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grimaldi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Roman tries to clinch but Grimaldi moves out of range.
Roman defending well as Grimaldi loads up on a big left hand.
Roman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Roman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grimaldi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mateo Roman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grimaldi lands a left and a right that send Roman crashing to the mat, dazed. Grimaldi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Mateo Roman has been cut.
