Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rilley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rilley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rilley looks to land a combination but Machida avoids it well.
Machida avoids the head kick by Rilley.
Rilley scores with a hook.
Machida fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rilley manages to avoid it.
Rilley connects with a crisp jab.

Rilley gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Machida breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Machida tries to clinch there but Rilley circles away.
Rilley misses with a few strikes there.

Machida tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rilley just stands there and leans against the cage.
Rilley keeps control of Machida as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Rilley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Machida drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoto Machida. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Machida tries to throw a body punch but Rilley avoids it by throwing Machida back against the cage.
Machida tries to pull guard but Rilley holds him up against the cage and eventually Machida drops back down to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Machida tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Machida jumps guard and drags Rilley to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Rilley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rilley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rilley passes into half guard.
Rilley wants to free his trapped foot but Machida is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Rilley has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Rilley is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Machida has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Machida!

Rilley is looking to sinch up a triangle. Machida throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Rilley's body to avoid the submission. Rilley has instead reached around Machida's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Rilley arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
