Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Guerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ribeiro Jardine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guerra kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Sound Of Thruth - As I Lay Dying. Jardine has chosen The Game - Motorhead as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Guerra or perhaps it was just good defense by Jardine which made him look bad.

Jardine decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Guerra pushes Jardine off and gets back to his feet.

Guerra has managed to clinch.
Jardine tries to break the clinch but Guerra is controlling the position.

Guerra jumps into guard, dragging Jardine to the mat.
Jardine is looking to work some ground and pound but Guerra has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jardine prevents Guerra from getting back to his feet.

Guerra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jardine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jardine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jardine wants to stand but Guerra has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Guerra pushes Jardine off and scrambles back to his feet.

Jardine avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jardine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Guerra has taken the fight to the clinch.

Guerra jumps guard.
Jardine won't allow Guerra to get back to his feet.
Jardine must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jardine throws a strike but Guerra rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Guerra drops back looking for a leg! Jardine is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jardine manages to kick Guerra off! Guerra jumps back into Jardine's guard.
Guerra is breathing heavily.

Jardine has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Guerra off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

It looks like Diego Guerra has been cut.

Jardine drops Guerra with a big left hand and mounts him. Guerra is in big trouble!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jardine is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Jardine unloads with some shots from mount but Guerra bucks and avoids them well.

Guerra avoids a series of strikes thrown by Jardine.

Jardine tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Guerra suckers Jardine into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Guerra is now in Jardine's guard!

Guerra postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jardine is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Guerra, into his guard.

Guerra is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jardine stands and throws Guerra's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Jardine tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Guerra regains half guard, as Jardine was trying to land strikes.
Guerra punching from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jardine throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ribeiro Jardine dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Guerra showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jardine.
Guerra fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jardine avoids it really well and circles away.
Jardine closes the distance but Guerra moves to the side

and Guerra moves into the clinch.
Guerra looking to throw knees to the head but Jardine is blocking nicely.

Guerra pulls guard effortlessly.
Guerra utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Jardine decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Guerra, up you get!
Guerra is looking to clinch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jardine lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Guerra has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Guerra and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Guerra wants to clinch up but Jardine keeps it at a distance.
Guerra circles away from the clinch attempt
and Guerra counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Guerra moves into range and clinches up with Jardine.
Guerra fails to pull guard.

Guerra has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jardine avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Guerra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Guerra jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jardine walks away with a smile on his face. Guerra gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jardine is defending against the submission attempts here by Guerra.

Guerra is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jardine is just riding it out for now. Guerra eventually gives up the hold.
Jardine is looking to escape.

Jardine is trying to stand up here but Guerra is controlling him well.

Guerra is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Guerra keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jardine's efforts to push away.
Jardine tries to pull guard but Guerra won't allow it.

Guerra has his foot on Jardine's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jardine works his way back into a safe position though.

Guerra is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Jardine frees his head nicely. Oh but Guerra has switched to an armbar! Jardine is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
