Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davin Gunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunter is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Black. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm slaps away a takedown attempt from Gunter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gunter shoots in but Storm avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Storm doesn't manage to clinch there - Gunter circles away.
Storm tries to close the distance and clinch but Gunter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Storm gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gunter to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Storm throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gunter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Storm is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gunter.
Gunter looks to land a right hand but Storm moved out of range.
Storm displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gunter.

Storm has closed the distance and engaged Gunter in a clinch.
Gunter wants to break free but Storm has control.

Storm lands a hook that snaps the head of Gunter backwards.

Storm comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Gunter throws a hook to the side of Storm's head but Storm sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Mason Storm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gunter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Storm looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gunter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Storm is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Storm pushes Gunter away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gunter gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Gunter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gunter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The strikes coming from Gunter are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Gunter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Storm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gunter on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Storm is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gunter is controlling him well.

Storm jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A punch lands to the side of Storm 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Storm moves in looking to clinch but Gunter pushes him off.
Gunter uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Storm has time to react.

Gunter lands a really nice looking cross but Storm seems unphased.

Mason Storm is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Gunter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gunter jabs Storm right on the nose. Storm blinks but takes it well.

Gunter closes the distance and clinches up with Storm, looking for a takedown. Gunter pushes Storm against the cage but Storm circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Gunter fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Storm checks it well.

Gunter shoots in looking for a takedown. Storm tries to sprawl out of it but Gunter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Storm manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Horrible takedown by Gunter or perhaps it was just good defense by Storm which made him look bad.

Gunter is going olschool here, as he tries to force Storm to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Storm shrugs it off.
Storm tries to buck Gunter off but he can't manage it.

Storm has left one of his arms exposed and Gunter doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Storm screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
