The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Creed does no damage.
Modi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Creed throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Creed tries to move into range but Modi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

It looks like Apollo Creed has been cut.
Creed cracks Modi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Creed jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Creed throws a shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Creed connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Modi momentarily.
Creed wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Modi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Creed ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Modi takes a swing at Creed's ribcage but misses.
Modi moves in looking to clinch but Creed pushes him off.
Modi throws a hook to the side of Creed's head but Creed sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A left and a right from Creed both land. Nice combination.
Nice straight punches there by Creed. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Creed.
Creed moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Modi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Creed.
Creed throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Creed works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Creed lands with a hook. Modi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Creed is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Modi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Modi takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Creed lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Creed feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Modi's calf.
Creed turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Modi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Creed dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Modi. That did some damage!

Thor Modi's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Modi slips a jab and a cross from Creed.
Creed wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Creed fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Modi.

Modi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Modi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Creed takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Jeez, Thor Modi's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
