The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaves tries for a takedown but Popovich sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Popovich doesn't manage to clinch there - Chaves circles away.

Chaves is trying hard to land a takedown here. Popovich sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Popovich walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chaves checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
