Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Craddock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Pain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Craddock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Pain!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Craddock pinned against the cage. Craddock gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Craddock pushes Pain up against the cage in a clinch.
Pain has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Craddock avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pain tries to pull guard but Craddock holds him up against the cage and eventually Pain drops back down to his feet.
Frank Craddock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Pain.
Pain is trying to maintain a safe position but Craddock gets an underhook and turns Pain into the cage.
Craddock changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pain fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Pain jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Craddock manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Pain is trying to control the action in half guard but Craddock is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pain is looking to take a break and control but Craddock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Pain wants to work for an arm triangle but Craddock is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Pain is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Craddock!

Pain goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Craddock is on top in guard.

Craddock lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Pain is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Pain has control of Craddock's left arm, preventing Craddock from doing any damage.

Pain has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Craddock is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pain.
Craddock lands a decent elbow from side control.

Craddock is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pain knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Pain is looking to improve his position.
Pain misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Pain wants to improve his position but Craddock is controlling well.
Craddock wants to stand but Pain has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Craddock is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Craddock finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Pain scores with a crisp jab that stopped Craddock in his tracks.

Craddock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pain is in trouble now - Craddock has advanced to mount!

Craddock wants to take Pain's back here but Pain is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Craddock misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Pain sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Pain wants to improve his position but Craddock is controlling well.

Craddock is looking for a kimura but Pain is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Craddock to get the leverage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Craddock throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Craddock tries to reverse the position but Pain maintains control.

Pain wants to finish this one by submission but Craddock is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pain.
Craddock wants to control but Pain is having none of it.
Pain sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Poor strikes thrown by Pain there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pain moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Craddock has worked his arm free - good work by Craddock!

Pain seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Craddock manages to get to full guard.
Craddock wants to stand and escape but Pain is having none of it.

Max Pain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Pain fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Craddock avoids it really well and circles away.
Pain shoots in for a double leg but Craddock sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Craddock tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pain swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Pain throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Craddock works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Pain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Craddock keeps working.

Craddock looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pain looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Craddock with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A left and a right from Pain both land. Nice combination.

Pain closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Craddock did well to prevent Pain getting side control.

Pain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Craddock swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Craddock bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pain's guard.

Craddock drops back looking for a leg! Pain is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pain manages to kick Craddock off! Craddock jumps back into Pain's guard.

Pain looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Craddock has picked Pain up and slammed him! Pain can't keep hold of the triangle and Craddock manages to pass to side control!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pain is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Craddock gets caught flat footed, as Pain shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Craddock throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pain escapes and throws Craddock's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Craddock tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Pain presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Max Pain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Craddock is trying desperately to improve position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Max Pain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Pain winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
