The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamalainen ducks right into an uppercut from Braaten.
Hamalainen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Braaten moves away.
Braaten jabs at Hamalainen's body.
Hamalainen fails with a takedown attempt.
Braaten dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Hamalainen moves into the clinch.
Hamalainen tries to pull guard but Braaten holds him up against the cage and eventually Hamalainen drops back down to his feet.
Hamalainen keeps control of Braaten as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hamalainen swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Braaten is trying to break the clinch but Hamalainen has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Braaten wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hamalainen has him pressed against the cage.
Hamalainen pushes off an throws an elbow but Braaten leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Braaten has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hamalainen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Hamalainen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Braaten gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mika Hamalainen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hamalainen drags the fight down to the ground.

Hamalainen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Braaten gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Braaten has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hamalainen is proving hard to escape from.
Hamalainen doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Hamalainen has his feet on Braaten's thighs here. He's pushed Braaten off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Braaten screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
