The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reddiggan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Reddiggan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Shadows rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Reddiggan's guard! Nice work there by Shadows!
Shadows wants to stand and escape but instead Reddiggan has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Reddiggan is looking to work some ground and pound but Shadows has wrist control.
Reddiggan looking to sit in guard and control but Shadows gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reddiggan is trying to control the position but Shadows postures up.

Reddiggan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Reddiggan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Shadows escapes and throws Reddiggan's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Reddiggan tries to improve position but can't.

Shadows stands up.
Shadows throws a push kick but Reddiggan slaps the foot to one side.
Reddiggan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shadows swivels and escapes.
Reddiggan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shadows as he avoids it easily.
Reddiggan fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TJ Reddiggan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reddiggan looks for a takedown but Shadows sprawls well.
Reddiggan is breathing heavily.

Shadows tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shadows waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Reddiggan.
Shadows throws the left hand but Reddiggan avoids the punch easily.
Shadows thows a left - swing and a miss!
Shadows darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Reddiggan is rocked!
Reddiggan fails to land the takedown.
Oh Reddiggan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reddiggan drops his hands momentarily. Shadows doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Reddiggan staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Reddiggan doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
