Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JoeSon Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banks is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Saul Williams-Black Stacey. Andre Banks struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, JoeSon Do!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Banks!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Do scores with a takedown into Banks's guard.

Banks keeping moving, preventing Do from controlling successfully.

Banks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Banks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Do doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Do manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Banks is looking for a sweep. Do is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Do with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Do wants to lay and pray for a moment but Banks keeps working.
Banks is trying to control but can't.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Banks crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Do - the referee stops the clock and Banks gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Do. Banks manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Do creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Banks sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Do stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Do throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and Do decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Banks's guard.
JoeSon Do has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Banks.

Banks has his foot on Do's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Do works his way back into a safe position though.

Do got a little sloppy there for a moment and Banks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Do has managed to get both his arms back between Banks's legs - danger averted.

That's time! Do's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Do swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Do thows a body shot but no joy.
Banks takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Do is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Banks has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Do is looking to defend but Banks has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Do! Banks pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Do taps out and this one is all over!
